Forced Heir (Pflichtteilsberechtigter)

Individuals entitled to the German forced share (Pflichtteil) are commonly referred to as Forced Heir (Pflichtteilsberechtigter). Forced heirs are the children (or their offspring if they are predeceased) of the deceased and the spouse of the deceased. If there are no children (or offspring), the parents of the deceased are entitled to the forced share, too.
