Venue (örtliche Zuständigkeit)

Pursuant Section 343 FamFG (Venue) the proper venue for proceedings relating to the inheritance matters in Germany is the district court (Amtsgericht) at the place of the habital residence of the decedent at the time of his death. If the last habitual residence was not in Germany, the proper venue is the court at the place where the decedent had hist last habitual residence within Germany. If the decedent never had a habitual residence in Germany, the Schöneberg Local Court in Berlin is the proper venue.
