Title search (Eigentumsrecherche)

The land registry (Grundbuchamt) in Germany may be accessed only by persons who can proove a legitimate interest  (e.g. forced heir, creditor). Those persons may also apply for an extract from the land registry. There is no public Internet search tool. However, German notaries can electronically search the land registry.
