extended administration of the estate (Dauertestamentsvollstreckung)
Under § 2209 of the German Civil Code (BGB), the testator may give the executor the power to administer the estate for a defined period of time. This is referred to in German law as durable execution of the estate. The person called to act is referred to as Dauertestamentsvollstrecker (executor for an extended administration period). Such executor is generally comparable to a trustee.
