Ownership (Eigentum)
§ 903 of the German Civil Code (BGB) defines ownership (Eigentum) as the owner’s right to deal with the thing (§ 90 BGB) at his will and to exclude everyone else from any influence over the thing, subject to legal restrictions or rights of third parties. In particular, the ownership right entitles the owner to possession (Besitz), to dispose of the thing (Verfügungsrecht), or to grant subordinate rights in relation to it, to use and exploit it, and to reap the fruits or other benefit of its use,
