Resident's Registration Office (Einwohnermeldeamt)

Pursuant to § 17 (1) of the Federal Registration Act (Bundesmeldegesetz) an individual who moves into a dwelling he/she intends to use as a first or second home is required to register with the Resident's Registration Office (Einwohnermeldeamt) within 2 weeks after doing so.
