Intestacy (gesetzliche Erbfolge)

Intestacy occurs if, there is no Will (Testament) or contract of inheritance, the will is invalid or the will does not cover the whole estate. The German intestacy rules are codified in §§ 1924 to §§ 1936 of the German Civil Code (BGB).
